Summer vacation
has started. Pooja and her friends Anu, Priya, Sirisha have decided to complete
the adventure they were planning for a long period. They thought to cross the
thick forest which is at the border of their city, see the old oak tree and
return back home. But last summer Anu got scared and did not dare to come and because
of her their plan was failed. Like the last summer, this time also Anu got
scared and hesitant to come. Pooja, Priya and Sirisha encouraged Anu which made
her feel better. The team is ready to go. As they thought, the next day morning
they reached the forest. Pooja got a compass and Priya had the map with her. They
were walking one behind the other. They were walking in a straight path, but
suddenly they found 4 roads going in four different ways. They did not know
which way to go. In the map which Priya bought did not have information about this.
Pooja took out her compass. Her compass was not working due to the magnetic
power of the magnetic rocks present in the forest. They were looking around
finding for a clue. Sirisha found a fallen old board saying “Find
Out The Correct Way To Go!”.
Then she showed the board
to her friends. Each one went in a different way. Anu found out the correct
way. Everyone followed her. They continued walking. They did not take serious
about the board saying “Be Careful Tiger Moving Zone”.
They went on and on. But suddenly a tiger pounced on them. They got scared.
They did not know what to do. This time Anu did not panic. But Pooja, Sirisha
and Priya were scared. Anu used her presence of mind shouted for help. A guard
who is on the duty nearby heard them and rushed to the spot immediately. The
guard shot the tiger with a tranquilizer. The Tiger fell asleep. The guard told
them not go forward as it is dangerous. They did not listen to the guard. They
continued walking. After walking to some distance, they felt hungry. They
divided themselves into 2 groups and began to search for food. Pooja and Anu
found some edible roots near a huge big tree. Sirisha and Priya had some bottles
with them. While they were searching they saw a small stream. The water were
fresh and were fit for drinking. So they quickly took some in the bottles and came
back to the place they stared. They lit up fire by scraping 2 stones with one and
other continuously. Successfully after a great hard work they lit up the fire. They
roasted the roots and ate them. They drank some water and saved some for
further use. They continued walking. Everyone was tired. They found some shade
under the bushy tree. After an hour, When they got up, they couldn’t find their
bags. They were looking around in search of bags. A monkey was sitting on a
tree, holding their bags. One of them climbed the tree and snatched one of the
bag calmly and started tempt the monkey by showing it bunch of bananas. When
the monkey came near the bunch Anu threw the bunch far away. The monkey
followed the bunch and went far away. They took their bags and started walking.
After a few hours they reached their target. After spending a few minutes there
they started walking back towards home. On their way back home a bear started
to chase them. The girls got scared and started to run. After running for a
little distance, the bear was diverted by something. It stopped chasing them.
While running they did not notice that they ran in short cut which reduced
almost upto 10kms. Only 5kms were left. They walked fast and reached home
safely.
This is a small
attempt for the adventure girls team as they have done over 1000’s of other
dangerous adventures after this one!
